If you are planning any type of public activity or event, host volunteers, own equipment, or work directly with the public, you will need to think about insurance.
At BCM, we can’t recommend a specific insurance provider. It is always a good idea to chat with groups similar to your own, to find out who provides their insurance.
Zurich insurance have also released a handy guide which explains the different types of insurance cover you may need based on whether you have volunteers, employees, equipment of value, property, vehicles or if you work of communicate with the public or volunteers.
The Resource Centre compiles a list of insurers that have an understanding or specialise in insurance for not-for-profit and voluntary groups.
