Learn about: managing your money for your small voluntary group

Who is this event for?

For those running a small voluntary group in Birmingham and would like help in managing their group’s money.

About this event

Come and chat with us if you are running a small voluntary group in Birmingham and would like some help on how to record and manage money coming in and out of the group bank account.

It is taking place at Birmingham Settlement Youth and Community Centre on Thursday 28th March 2024.

This event will be run by Birmingham Community Matters & Perry Barr Neighbourhood Network Scheme.

At this event you will be matched with a helper who will confidentially help you with record keeping for your group and answer any questions you have about how to best record and manage money for your group.

During this session we will help you to:

  • Decide the best method to record money in and out – on a computer or pen and paper.
  • Learn how to use them to record and manage your group’s money.
  • Understand how to prepare reports to your management committee and funders if you have them.
  • Understand how to allocate money towards grants.

You will find the event useful:

  • If you are responsible for the money within your group.
  • If you are looking to apply for funding or have a grant and need to prepare a report for your funder.
  • If you have any queries about recording or reporting money coming in and going out for your group.
